The Journey Continues Through The Summer

Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) is the arm of CEF that trains teenagers to do ministry among children. As the largest children’s ministry in the world, CEF has the experience to help your teens carry the Gospel into neighborhoods around your church and throughout your community. CYIA uses a one-week camp to provide intensive training for summer ministry.

Youth will learn how to present Bible lessons, share the Gospel in a clear and concise manner, and how to lead children in exciting games and songs – all designed to powerfully communicate God’s truth to children. Once camp is over, teens utilize what they have learned in summer ministry doing 5-Day Clubs. They will have the opportunity to be used of God to effectively communicate the Gospel, and they will see God work in and through them as they serve.

The 4 “Ts” of CYIA

A full week of classroom instruction

Train

Youth will attend a week of training where you will learn to present the Gospel clearly on a child’s level, counsel a child for salvation, and lead a dynamic club ministry for kids. Components of this club include teaching a Bible lesson, a real-life missionary story, and a Bible verse as well as leading songs, games, and a fun review time. They will be part of a team and will not have to carry the full load. Child evangelism Fellowship provides the teaching material, training, and the opportunity to serve.

Teach

After this training, youth will return to your local community and teach clubs at various locations with a team of other teens. These clubs can be anywhere: daycare, home, park, and anywhere children gather. Kids love coming to these 5-Day Clubs! The parachutes, music, Bible lesson, candy, and review games are a hit with children and parents alike.

CYIA Provides Growth Opportunities

Youth who take the journey through CYIA experience spiritual and personal growth. They acquire leadership skills and a deeper understanding of God’s plan for their life. While growth happens in many ways along the path it does not end at CEF. These skills extend well beyond Good News Clubs and 5-Day Clubs into their workplace and the community they serve.

Those who choose this challenge open themselves up to many opportunities later in life because of their involvement in CYIA. This could take the form of CEF Camp leadership, CEF corporate positions or leadership roles in their chosen mission field. Whether managing a team of professionals or starting your own business the qualities acquired through the CYIA ministry last a lifetime.
