The enemy has a plan for our children – but God has another plan. God’s Word, spoken over our children, will not return void, it will accomplish what it was sent for. As we pray God’s Word over our children and their future, we destroy the plans of the enemy.

The following is an excerpt from Intercessors for America.

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Prv 22:6)

God, Your Word says we are to train our children in Your ways. Enable us to do that to the best of our ability. We ask You to surround them, protect them, and keep them from all harm by Your Word. We pray our children will not depart or walk away from the ways of the Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. (Is 54:13)

Father, we thank You that You are teaching our children! We thank You that You are giving our children great peace. We trust You to teach them to know who they are. We trust You to teach them who You are in them and who they are in You. We pray they will not become confused in any manner but will walk in the peace of God concerning their identity all the days of their life. In Jesus’ name, we pray, amen.

I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth. (3 Jn 1:4, NLT)

Today, Father, we pray our children walk in truth. Your Word is truth. Jesus is the Truth. We pray they will walk in daily truth and ONLY follow truth. No one will be able to convince them of any idea other than YOUR truth. This we declare in Jesus’ name. Amen.

And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. (Jn 10:4-5)

God, we pray our children would know Your voice and follow You. We pray You lead them and guide them in the way they should go. We pray they will not listen to nor follow the voice of a stranger. We pray the truth dwells in them, therefore they will not be deceived by any other voice. We pray that our children will run from stranger’s voice, knowing it only leads to harm. This we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

You have hedged me behind and before and laid Your hand upon me. (Ps 139:5)

God, I ask You to put a hedge of protection around my children. I declare Your promise is true. You have hedged them in from behind and before. I further declare, Your hand is upon my children and that hand will never be removed. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
